Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader
Lately, a lot of videogames and entertainment in general have disappointed me. There seems to be more concern about pushing political ideologies and making every story fit a certain political ideology or frame of mind, rather than producing good art. However, Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader is not one such disappointment. In fact, its story is so good, and unafraid to shy away from themes which are taboo according to the political establishment, or ignore themes which they insist must be included. Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader is not afraid to stay faithful to the Warhammer lore, and it is a truly gripping representation.
The game's story is intense, the graphics are excellent, and the strategic, turn-based combat is really fun. The levelling system is, to put it mildly, in-depth, and I literally cannot put this game down.
This game deserves your attention not just because it's bucking the trend of kow-towing to extreme political ideologies, but because it's just really, really good. The characters come alive from their first words to you, I had chills running down my spine reading the logs in the machine spirit of a Cogitator. It's such a cool game, check it out!
